A Winter day at Knole Park

Knole Park on a crisp January day is a real treat. The park is scattered with fallen trees-it lost 70% of its trees in the 1987 storm. Many of the oaks, beech and chestnut trees  still standing are huge and date back hundreds of years. The old, gnarled and storm-battered trunks are really impressive and create a very stark but beautiful landscape. Of course the real draw about the park is the herds of wild deer which roam the 1000 acres.
